In a press release, Bandai Namco said:
The new release timing gives the development team the time needed to make sure Nintendo Switch players can fully appreciate the true ‘Dark Souls’ experience anytime and anywhere, thanks to the unique portable nature of the Nintendo Switch console.
It can also be noted that apart from the Dark Souls: Remastered, Solaire of Astora amiibo will also have a delayed release.

Well, thumbs up for Bandai for taking the time to really port the game to the nature of the console. Instead of offering it half-baked early on. On the other hand, it’s also noteworthy that Nintendo embraced the grim and violence of the game for the first time while setting aside the family-friendly branding.
It was in January when the release of Dark Souls: Remastered was announced for Nintendo Switch. And from then on, it promises improvements when it comes to framerate, resolution, and even other improvements that we can only see in the Nintendo version.
