Yomawari: Midnight Shadows (Shin-Yomawari in Japan) is classified as a survival horror video game which will be available for PS4 and PS Vita. The game serves as a sequel to Yomawari: Night Alone.
The game will feature best friends Yui and Haru who got lost on their way back home after going to a late summer firework festival. They were separated when they let go of each other’s hands. Hence, they are left with no choice but to face the ominous night where someone is lurking in the shadows.
Players will be tasked to explore the night with the goal in mind of reuniting the two girls and send them home. The only source of light that the player has will be the flashlight. Their exploration will not come with ease, though. There will be strange “spirit” lurking around and players can also acquire items along the way. When spirits are nearby, the player’s heartbeat will increase.
