DOOM VFR is set on a UAC Facility on Mars that has gone to hell. You will take the role of Dr. Peters, a scientist who was killed during the last invasion of the UAC’s Martian research facility. The concept of the protagonist is more of like a resurrected robosoldier. Your consciousness is transferred to an artificial brain matrix which has the ability to take control of any robot on the station and is activated by UAC to fight the demon invasion.

Originally, UAC’s Martian Research Team on Mars were standing on the edge of discovery, engaging to powerful technology with infinite possibilities, when these demonic monsters suspended their mission because of the wicked invasion that transformed the Facility into a new dimension. Your mission now is to restore the operation stability by any means necessary.

The original DOOM is fast-paced with sprinting and double jumping. On the other hand, DOOM VFR takes a slightly different approach. Thanks for teleporting that will let the players move quickly around the environment, murdering your enemies with a slightly more strategic feel to it than the original game or its 2016 reboot. Another cool thing about Doom’s VFR transportation movement system is that it allows players to savor this valuable moment as it slows down a bit when you are aiming to teleport, making it easier to plan strategically on your next move so that you aren’t caught off guard by the monsters at an inauspicious moment. This slow down movement also gives you the power to confidently move closer to the opponent and fire off high risks-shots that will make the demon in front of you blow their heads up.

There is also the new addition to the game called “Telefragging.” When your opponent becomes staggered, you will be able to teleport inside them finishing them up in the process. Feel the splash of your opponent’s flesh and blood on the surface as the game gives you this mind-blowing feature, finishing off your weakened enemy, that gives you a feeling of victory, through this success telefrag.
