So, what is Far Cry 5 all about? Far Cry 5 welcomes you to the fictional Hope County of Montana. The town was living a peaceful life until Joseph Seed has risen to eminence. Seed lured the people of Hope County that he is the chosen one to save them from an inevitable downfall. With this, Seed instituted a congregation known as the Eden’s Gate.
In the eyes of his disciples, Seed makes them believe that his mission is to just guide them all out of salvation. Where in reality, Seed is a liberal preacher and Eden’s Gate is a militaristic doomsday cult. These poor innocent inhabitants are not aware of the reality that there is a dark mystery lurking on in their so-called “father.”
As moments passed by, Seed successfully gained the trust of his disciples and suddenly unleashed his true mission: to cast terrifying violence, and oppression. Hence, under his jurisdiction, he forcibly converts more residents of Hope County to join in his evil mission. The corrupt “father” intimidated his innocent recruits putting a grip on their necks not to even try contacting the outside world for help.
As the story progress, one incident appeared in town seeing groups of lawmen attempted to arrest Seed. However, they failed in their mission and wistfully lead them to death. So now, as the player, you are left in between the evil congregation of Seed and the remaining Hope County inhabitants. This incident will then give you the urge to fight back and spark those fires of resistance to win back your ambushed community.
Play as a Sherrif’s Deputy who is part of the task force sent to Hope County to arrest Seed. As mentioned earlier, Seed seized the title of “the Father” and takes over the whole region. Seed wouldn’t be brave enough if not for the presence of other members in his cult known as the Heralds.
