Are you ready for this otome game? For those who are not familiar with the word otome, here’s the meaning below!
An otome game (乙女ゲームotome gēmu, literally “maiden game”) is a story-based video game that is targeted towards women. Generally one of the goals, besides the main plot goal, is to develop a romantic relationship between the female player characterand one of several male characters. This genre is most established in Japan, and is mostly made up of visual novels and simulation games; particularly dating sims and life simulation games. – Wikipedia
For better emphasis, otome games fall under the visual novel category. The only goal of this game is to have the desired partner to fall in love and have a prosperous relationship with one of the good-looking men in the game.
Here’s the plot synopsis of the game.
It’s raining cats and dogs that day. The protagonist, Minato Ai, wakes up without any memory to remember. She finds herself inside of a Western-style mansion. However, an unknown and terrible monster wants to attack the protagonist, so she runs away from the monster.
While running, she has a ton of questions inside her head.
Where is this place?
Who am I, anyway?
What am I doing here?
She’s confused and thinking hard about her lost memories. However, she meets some men under the same circumstances as her. They all are having amnesia. They notice all of them are holding some kind of handguns. Finally, they realize that they must participate in the Black Butterfly Hunt. They must collect the Kaleidoscope Shards owned by the monsters.
