It is based on a turn-based strategy tabletop board game released way back in 1989 known as Space Hulk. Some of you may have known that several video games were already released based on the Space Hulk Board game.
And now, the spaceships, asteroids, and aliens set in the fictional universe of Warhammer 40,000 will come back to life as developer Streum On is ready to bring the Space Hulk board game to the PlayStation 4 Home console once again. Streum On tied up with several companies to make the game feasible such as Cyanide who assisted in the game’s development and Focus Home Interactive as the game’s publisher.

Originally, the game was first released for PC in 1993. Later on, another version of the game was released in 1995 and 1996 on PC, PlayStation, 3DO and Sega Saturn known as Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels. Due to the game’s success, Space Hulk was also released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in 2015 and 2016 consecutively. As time passed by, numerous video games based on the said board game were released not just for home consoles but also in mobile phones.
