Before going to the main features of Tennis World Tour, let us get to know first on what lead Breakpoint to create the game. So, on last year’s live stream of the PlayStation experience, Breakpoint’s Etienne Jacquemain revealed some details and information regarding the game.
According to Jacquemain, two years ago, he and his business partner realized that there seems to be a scarcity of tennis titles for the latest gaming platforms. With this, they decided to produce one together with the developers of the acclaimed Top Spin Series. Also, they have considered the upcoming game as a spiritual successor of the Top Spin 4.
During the interview, Jacquemain also states that he and the rest of team are excited to work on the game to build a true simulation game for the sport. The team pushed all their efforts to the extent that they even worked with a former tennis pro to capture real moves. And it is the French professional tennis player, Maxime Teixeira.
The team decided to execute the simulation in a real court to capture the perfect motion. Because for Jacquemain, the animations are the key to building the simulation experience they are aiming for.
Furthermore, Tennis World Tour features more than 30 real-life professionals who are licensed to appear in the game. They will grace eight various regional covers, all of which highlight the greatest tennis player of all time, Roger Federer.
