Omega Labyrinth Z Cancelled Localization in the West
Omega Labyrinth Z
PlayStation 4™ & PlayStation Vita – JAPAN & ASIA
Are you waiting for the English localization of Omega Labyrinth Z? This is sad news, guys. The game publisher PQube announced that Omega Labyrinth Z is not coming to the West anymore. This game’s expected to release this Spring 2018.
Here’s the official announcement from PQube.
PQube strives to release Japanese content for its fans as close to the source material as possible. In the case of Omega Labyrinth Z, while PQube has worked with all relevant age rating bodies in their respective territories, PQube must respectfully comply with the wishes of the platform holder and have therefore withdrawn any future plans for Omega Labyrinth Z’s European and North American release on PS4 and PS Vita.
Take a look on PQube‘s official Twitter account to see the announcement.
Please see below the statement on the situation of #OmegaLabyrinthZ in the West. It is with sadness that we announce that the game is cancelled on both platforms and all Western regions permanently. We will not comment further on this matter. Thank you for your support. pic.twitter.com/ePmmiWSTAY

Omega Labyrinth Z first banned in some parts of the world specifically in Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. The Video Standard Council pointed out that the game was very appealing to the younger players because of its cute graphics but presenting mature gameplay. See the statement from Video Standards Council.
There is a serious danger that impressionable people, i.e. children and young people viewing the game would conclude that the sexual activity represented normal sexual behaviour. There is a constant theme of sexual innuendo and activity throughout the game that suggests behaviour likely to normalise sexual activity towards children. As a means of reward gained by successfully navigating the game, the player has the means to sexually stimulate the female characters by using either a hand held remote device or touch screen software. – via Video Standards Council
For the overview, The game is a rogue-like dungeon crawler RPG for PS4 & PSVita. In Anberyl Girls Academy, there is a mysterious Holy Grail. That Holy Grail grants any wish, and it is hidden in the depths of an ancient cave at the academy. But this Holy Grail retains a mystery to the students. Now the girls of the academy will search for the Holy Grail!
It’s sad, but we got an alternative for you! Omega Labyrinth Z first released in Japan and in the Asia Pacific last July 06, 2017. We have available stocks for these versions. Grab your copies right now before it runs out of stocks.

Rip western release for now.
I wish there was a way to crowdfund/preorder asian-english releases via play-asia, you guys did mention before that the biggest issue with those is that there isn’t enough confidence in sales numbers.
Hi Tree Perception,
We’re still hoping for the best for Omega Labyrinth Z. Anyway, once we have further announcements, we’ll surely make a blog about it.
Best regards,
Play-Asia.com Team
It definitely sucks that the Asia versions don’t have English subs, either. I was really looking forward to this title.
I would love to be able to crowdfund/preorder asian-english releases. I second this.
Man, fuck Sony. What, is the Vita in Japan a different console or something? If its on a Sony platform in Japan, why cant it be on a Sony platform in the USA?
Fucking shit company. I was really looking forward to this game. Im never buying another Sony product again.
Does the Asia/Japan version have english subtitles? If not, many of will not be able to play the game.
Hi Nuar,
Unfortunately, the Japanese and the Asia version has no subtitles. Once we have further announcements for this game, we’ll surely make a blog about it.
Best regards,
Play-Asia.com Team
It sounds to me like some rating boards wanted to give an adults-only rating, PQube had enough integrity to not manhandle the localization, and Sony won’t allow adults-only games to release on their console systems. If so, I respect PQube’s decision, must reserve judgment on the rating boards’ decisions, and condemn Sony’s decision to limit their target audience only to children. I regrettably can’t read kanji, but perhaps there’s still the possibility Matrix could authorize an English release on PC at some point?
only it wasn’t a ratings board it was the SCEA QA division that refused the title and said it didn’t pass quality standards therefore they refused to release it in north america, thereby circumventing the ERSB. which is a really REALLY underhanded dick move to appease social justice warriors and head off some perceived controversy, just another reason to despise femenists and their destruction of heterosexuality and pushing of an asexual/homosexual global society…….because that is the end game.
This is bullshit… The worst thing is that there’s no Asian English version…
So sad, I was waiting for this game.
