Sega Introduces Shenmue I & II Nostalgic Cast to the Newcomers of the Series

The first video released for Shenmue I & II series detailed the storyline of the first two games and Ryo’s revenge for his father.
And recently, Sega uncovered the second video in its series of Shenmue trailers. The new video introduces the newcomers of the series to some of the game’s primary characters and reminding Sega Dreamcast gamers of the cast they fell in love with back then.
The new trailer introduces the nostalgic characters of the game in a basic character introduction format. It features the game’s iconic hero, Ryo Hazuki, the main villain, Lan Di, the heroine, Shenua, and the many NPCs that you’ll meet along the way.

From Ryo himself to Lan Di, Corey introduces us to Shenmue’s key characters: the mysterious Shenhua appearing in Ryo’s dreams, Ren the Heavens gang leader, and many more friends, foes, and those whom Ryo would be wise to keep an eye on. Beyond the key characters that Ryo encounters, there are hundreds of NPCs awaiting you in the world of Shenmue: love interests, enemies, neighbors and merchants… and of course, a cat.

【STORY】
A tale of revenge.
In 1986, teenage jujitsu artist Ryo Hazuki returns to the dojo of his father, Iwao Hazuki, only to witness his murder by a Chinese man, Lan Di. Lan Di steals a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Mirror. Ryo vows to avenge his father’s death and sets out tracing Lan Di’s path.
The first game in the series, Shenmue begins the tale as Ryo travels around Yokosuka, Japan, gathering clues about his father’s murder and dealing with nefarious gangsters along the way.
The sequel Shenmue II continues Ryo’s quest, this time crossing the sea to Hong Kong, China. Ryo ventures deeper into the criminal underworld, meeting martial arts masters who aid him on his journey and offer insight into his father’s death, and unravels the mysteries of the Dragon Mirror that his father kept hidden.
