Spidey is ready to swing all over New York, dressed up with his new suit while overcoming missions and challenges in the post-launch DLC for Spider-Man.
Ooh, looks like Spidey is going to be more pretty, man.
Insomniac Games Community Director, James Stevenson, revealed yesterday on the PlayStation blog the release schedule for Marvel’s Spider-Man post-launch DLC, The City That Never Sleeps.
The DLC will consist of three installments, with the first chapter dubbed as “The Heist” which will launch on October 23. According to James Stevenson, The Heist will focus on Felicia Hardy, or also known as Black Cat. Furthermore, new missions and challenges will be added, as well as a new faction of enemies.
And last but definitely not the least, The Heist will also include three additional suits for Spidey! You surely don’t want to miss this out. Swing along throughout New York in style!
Moreover, the release date for the second and third chapter of The City That Never Sleeps DLC was also revealed. You can check out below the full calendar schedule:
- October 23: Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist
- November 2018: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Turf Wars
- December 2018: Marvel’s Spider-Man: Silver Lining
You can buy all of these three installments in a bundle which will be available for $24.99 USD at the PSN Store. Individual installments can also be bought separately for $9.99 USD each. And if you haven’t pre-ordered the game yet, you can also grab the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game that includes all the DLC content for Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps which will cost you $79.99 USD.

Hey @Mooch1978 I know Spider-Man is GREAT and all, but is the DLC also GREAT? I'd heard that DLC announced before a game releases is kind of a bad thing..but now I'm confused cause it's a PS4 exclusive so it might be a good thing? 🤔🤔

The safe assumption is that the DLC content was never intended to be part of the base game. Spider-Man went gold a month ago, DLC comes out in October. Who can rule out that they started working on more content immediately after completing the game?

If you take the main story and put it into DLC then I get upset. But if it’s just added on features I love it. So people shouldn’t be upset that Spider-Man has DLC. As far as I know it’s just bonus content. And I’m actually glad they are doing it.
