Remember the good old 2000s? What a time that was for anime fans! Dragon Ball and Ghost in the Shell were making the genre respectable in the public’s eye, but there was still plenty of really odd and crazy shlock being published. Pokemon was accused of occultism and popularizing materialism, whilst Death Note and Spirited Away garnered the respect of movie critics. Anime was in an odd place somewhere between sub-culture and mainstream. And it was awesome.
Right in that mid-space fell Black Lagoon: a gun crazy escapist fantasy of modern pirate mercenaries in sometimes skanky outfits. People loved it and till this day, it’s one of the highest ranked anime series of this era. And as we currently have the largest selection of merch from it available, we thought we’d give fans an overview of what’s there.
