To all the fans who are anticipating Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, this is both an important and sad news…
October 4, 2018, FDG Entertainment is in deep despair to announce that Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom‘s release date has been delayed from its previously announced November 6 release date to December 4, 2018.
FDG Entertainment and Game Atelier are left with no choice but to push back the release date of the game, once again, due to “unforeseen difficulties” of the physical card/disc package production.
“It turned out that the physical goods manufacturing takes longer than initially planned and we could only choose between rushing out in time or complete the Day-1 edition properly with keeping our promises of its content.”

The team added that they have to do it because they don’t want to see a half-baked physical release.
“There was no question: we’re now reaching a 5-year production cycle of Monster Boy and it didn’t make sense to us to have an incomplete physical release so we decided to give the manufacturing process more time so the physical release can shine as the game itself. So much polishing, so much work – we don’t want to see a half-baked physical release.”
In addition, the team clarified that the digital and physical release are tightly linked to each other. With this in mind, both digital and physical release of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom will fall on December 4.
The game will also be released on PC sometime in 2019.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom brings you to the Monster World Kingdom. The story centers on its boy protagonist named, Jin. Jin is on a mission to stop his Uncle from doing magic that causes chaos throughout the Kingdom. And you are challenged to follow his role and take on the journey to save the entire state.
