Super Meat Boy Forever Coming to All Major Consoles & PC in April 2019!
Super Meat Boy Forever
PS4, SW, XONE & PC
Our Meaty Hero is taking on its new venture together with his family in Super Meat Boy’s new game called Super Meat Boy Forever! And during the Kinda Funny Games Showcase, Team Meat, the developer behind the mind-blowing platformer, revealed the release window for the upcoming game which is on April 2019.
The game was first announced during the Nindies Summer Showcase in the year 2017 and was previously reported for a 2018 release date. But, due to some undisclosed reason, the long-time teased game is now pushed back for a 2019 release.
Super Meat Boy Forever is coming to all major platforms and PC. However, it looks like the game is not arriving on Steam until 2020. According to Team Meat’s co-founder Tommy Refenes, Super Meat Boy Forever PC version will be exclusive to the Epic Games Store for a year.
He added:
“I understand people don’t like change but … the end result of this will mean better games for people. It may be more launchers, sure, but a small price to play for a developer community that doesn’t feel like they have one choice on PC.”

【COMMUNITY FEEDBACK】
Let’s see how the gamers react for the exclusivity of the game on Epic Games Store. And of course, let’s also check out who’s excited for the new journey of our meaty hero!
The vitriol in these comments is a little disheartening. I'm fully on board devs getting a fairer cut from platforms and hope to see SMBF and the Epic Store prosper.
— Twinge (@DarkTwinge) December 8, 2018
Yeah, but you know what's the difference? A long time passed since then, and Steam offers a ton of features to the average consumer. Epic's new store offers none of that. They had time to make a true competitor and instead launched something that is worse than launch day Origin
— fake Kurt Russell (@davidclark1989) December 8, 2018
So how come none of these folks are taking the fight to consoles for more fairer cuts for developers? Sorry. Not my problem to care about a developer's bottom line. They're a business, trying to sell me a product, and Epic Store offers consumers an objectively worse experience.
— Paul Hamrick (@pahamrick) December 8, 2018
How is Steam screwing them over? Any developer on Steam can generate a Steam key 100% free and sell them on their own store for full profit. Valve doesn't take any cut of those sales. Consoles charge the same 70/30 split. So, I'm not seeing how the store is screwing them.

Who the hell gave you permission to make this game harder?
— DtFishboat is Docked in the Marina (@DtFishboat) December 9, 2018
you did! I have the video

It's going to be a long battle!
— Team Meat (@SuperMeatBoy) December 9, 2018
I feel like a long legal battle, representing myself, will still be easier than more meat torture

Cant' wait ! 😀

sounds like a nice 20th anniversary gift

20th ? ><
I accept 10th.
Deal ? XD pic.twitter.com/3ra0k0JZsr— Exyt ☮ (@Exyt_) December 8, 2018
No Steam no buy.
And let me be frank, when you crawl back to Steam due to lack of sales on Fortnite Store, you're not getting any of my money unless deep, deep, DEEP sale.— Knurek | Uncharted Summer (@KnurekNC) December 8, 2018
I just wanna know if this game has levels or it's an endless runner.
I've seen that the game was turned into an endless runner in one of the AGDQs, but this trailer makes it look like SMB returned to its roots and if so, I'm really happy.
— Miss Phase (@SonicPhase) December 9, 2018
It has levels…about 7200 of them.
— Team Meat (@SuperMeatBoy) December 9, 2018
I'm fucking sold <3
— Miss Phase (@SonicPhase) December 9, 2018
I love steam but competition is good. If they have any sense they will lower the 30% cut. Guess I get to add one more game launcher…
— eface (@Daddy_Ikari) December 8, 2018
Platforms compete for content, If one offers a better deal it only makes sense that dev's would move to it. I'm sure if steam made a better deal, meat boy would be there. It is inconvenient for users but at leas it's not only available on xbox or some shit like that.
— eface (@Daddy_Ikari) December 8, 2018
As long as it works, and you get your game, it shouldn’t matter.

I'm willing to give the Epic Games Store a chance, especially if they keep getting more dope games like this 🤙

Timed exclusivity on the PC market? I ain't buying this game on principal.
— Kiki (@Kikideernunda) December 9, 2018
I can’t wait to rage quit this game then to see a speed runner beat it in like 5 minutes making me feel inept at games😂😂😂

【TRAILER】
【FEATURES】
- Super Meat Boy Forever is the sequel to Super Meat Boy! This is a new experience that eclipses the original. Don’t stare directly at it unless you still have your eclipse glasses.
- 7200 individually handcrafted levels combine dynamically to give you a new challenge every single time you play. Seven thousand two hundred levels. They said we couldn’t do it, but we did. Who’s they? Don’t ask. They don’t like it when you ask.
- It’s hard but fair. Nothing in life worth having comes easy. Just ask Dark Soulman.
Meat Boy and Bandage Girl can fight back. It’s time to unleash the raw fury of parenthood on their foes just like Liam Neeson in that documentary about his family vacation in Paris. - Bigger boss battles than before. Your mind will be blown. Your socks will be blown off. Team Meat is not liable for any of this.
- Brand new art with stunning detail and resolution. There are a lot of pixels in here. Grab the biggest display you have and watch those dots change color rapidly with gumption. Don’t sit too close though. (If your parents aren’t home you can sit as close as you want we won’t tell, but Team Meat is still not liable for any of this.)
- A soundtrack composed by Ridiculon so intense that the state of Wyoming has issued a ban on all audio devices capable of playing it out of fear that just a single note will cause the dormant supervolcano beneath Yellowstone to erupt ushering in a new age of darkness.
- Frame by frame artisan crafted in-game animations, and animated cutscenes that will make you experience procedurally generated emotions.
- A story so rich and moving that it makes Citizen Kane look like an unboxing video for a dehumidifier.
