Earlier this month, Square Enix confirmed that the 2007 Wii title, Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon, is making its comeback with a new title, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! for Nintendo Switch & PlayStation 4 systems. However, the publisher didn’t reveal much information about the western release of the game. But that was changed now.
Square Enix announced that Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is now confirmed for a March 20, 2019, release in North America and Europe. Additionally, the company revealed a poster, which you can see below, that digital pre-orders for the game are now open!
Players can start pre-ordering the game now via PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. Those who will pre-order Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! via the PSN Store will take home a buddy Chocobo “Alpha,” the PlayStation 4-exclusive buddy Chocobo “Beastmaster” DLC, a PlayStation 4 theme, and a PlayStation Network avatar bundle. Meanwhile, for those who will pre-order from the Nintendo eShop, they will receive a buddy Chocobo “Alpha” and the Switch-exclusive buddy Chocobo “Machinist” downloadable content.
Moreover, Square Enix announced that it will host a live stream on February 22 at 21:00 JST where the game’s new elements and other details will be revealed. You can watch it via YouTube and Niconico.

Game Overview
Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is a full remake of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon that features plenty of brand new content such as Buddy System which allows the player to have a partner character or monster who will accompany Chocobo throughout its venture. When Chocobo successfully beat up foes, sometimes they will drop Buddy Points which can be accumulated and enables you to befriend foes of the same kind. You can also call up your favorite game buddy as the second player in the place of the CPU and dive into the multiplayer mode of the game.
Moreover, players can expect more dungeons and new jobs in this remaster. One of the new jobs added is based on the Final Fantasy XIV character with the same name, Alpha. Through maximizing Alpha’s job level, players can unlock the Mysterious Card ability which randomly activates one of the 7 learned abilities.
Furthermore, Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! will also add full voiceovers by various Japanese voice actors which you can find below along with their respective characters in the game.
