Following the official release of One Piece: World Seeker last week, Bandai Namco revealed the upcoming free updates for the game such as Photo Mode, new challenge mission, and more, via the latest issue of Monthly V-Jump magazine.

Unfortunately, the official release date for these newly announced features is yet to be announced. Nevertheless, listed below are the upcoming content via a free update that will be available soon in One Piece: World Seeker.

• “Raid Suit” costume for Luffy
• “Effect & Frame Camera” feature (otherwise known as Photo Mode)
• “Challenge Missions” that task players with repelling waves of enemies, etc.
• Additional equipment

Originally, One Piece: World Seeker is set to release in 2018. However, in September, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe has announced that they have to push back the release date of the game to 2019, “to further polish the game ahead of launch.”

“ONE PIECE WORLD SEEKER is the most ambitious ONE PIECE game ever. We’re aware of the huge potential for the game and wanted to ensure we matched fans’ expectations. As such, we took the difficult decision to move the release date and use additional development time to create the best game possible.” – Koji Nakajima, Chief Producer at Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc

After two months, Bandai Namco finally revealed the official release window for the game, and it is on the 15th of March 2019.

Game Overview

Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are set for a journey on Jewel Island. Jewel Island was devastated by war several years ago. The Navy took its part to rebuild the island. However, some of the inhabitants of the island have disagreed and some did otherwise. So, the residents of the island split into two groups: The Pro Navy group that welcomes the modernization for the rehabilitation of the island and the Anti-Navy group that values the culture and the traditions of the island. Now Luffy on the mission as he battles and explores the island to experience his Gum Gum abilities.
