The romance visual novel Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation‘s western release for PS4 and PC received its new set of details via Idea Factory International. The company revealed the game’s very first trailer, introducing the lovely girls Tohka Yatogami, Yoshino, Kurumi Tokisaki, Kotori Itsuka, Origami Tobiichi, and Rinne Sonogami, which can be seen below.
【CHARACTER TRAILER】
If you noticed, there is a sub-line of “Part 1” in the trailer, which means, we can still expect for other trailers to come. This new video mainly basically serves as an introduction to the romance-able characters in the game that you will get to know during the story. Each of the characters possesses a unique personality and interest that will certainly capture your heart.
On top of that, we get to have an introduction to Tohka Yatogami with plenty of screenshots highlighting the character.
“Also known as Princess. Tohka is the first Spirit that Shido encounters and saves. Bright and formal, she is innocent and carries a strong moral code. By Ratatoskr’s arrangement, she is now Shido’s classmate. She has a mean appetite. In particular, she’s weak to kinako bread and Shido’s handmade food. It seems that she hopelessly adores Shido. The angel she manifests is Sandalphon.”

Game Overview
Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation is a collection of the series’ three visual novels including Date A Live: Rinne Utopia, Date A Live: Arusu Install, and Date A Live Twin Edition: Rio Reincarnation, which means there are 11 characters to date and over 150 dating events. Also, it is worth noting that it will still have the same gameplay from the original Japanese version.
More so, this upcoming collection will feature Japanese voice-overs and English subtitles for the PS4 version. While the PC version will get the same language features, it will receive an additional Traditional Chinese for the subtitle.
But that’s not all. The visual novel collection will also include in-game bonus extras such as drama CDs and special books (with thumbnail mode page skip and zoom features).
Furthermore, due to the recent changes in Sony’s policy, the sexual content of the PlayStation 4 version is confirmed to be modified, or in its generic term in this case, “censored.” On the other hand, the PC version will be completely uncensored.
Story
The story of DATE A LIVE begins thirty years after a series of large disasters, known as Spacequakes, that were caused by the appearance of mysterious entities known as Spirits. Shido Itsuka, an average high school student, finds a Spirit who despairs of humanity.
Shido is later told by his younger sister, Kotori, that he alone owns the gift to seal the power of a Spirit. In order to defend the earth, and to save the Spirits, Shido is determined to do whatever he can at all cost. No matter what obstacle he may encounter, he is ready to face the Spirits head-on!
