Last time, Compile Heart and Idea Factory International announced the delay of the Artisan Studios-developed 2D sidescrolling RPG, Super Neptunia RPG, in the West to Spring 2019 release. However, it looks like Super Neptunia fans would need to have another bag of patience as Idea Factory International has to delay the PlayStation 4 and Switch versions of the game once again to Summer from its previously Spring 2019 release date in North America and Europe.

Nevertheless, the PC version of the game is still slated for its Summer 2019 release.

The company also announced that the PS4 version will feature two “slightly modified” CGs. Plus, it is worth noting that the gameplay for all platforms remains the same from its original Japanese version.

Game Overview

Super Neptunia RPG takes you to the world of Gamindustri, a place where 2D games reign supreme. An organization which is known as Bombyx Mori, are wholeheartedly devoted to these games forces. Its residents to churn out 2D games as offerings to their leader. In short, these 2D games are their taxes.

Anybody who dares to use new technologies or whose games don’t meet their standards will be exiled to the soul-crushing Trial Grounds.

One day, a girl named Neptune awakens in this world and finds herself with no memories of anything about her except her name. As soon as the story progresses, she soon realizes that she has the power to save Gamindustri from this dark world with no real future in sight.

With her newfound sense of heroism and a strange book at hand, Neptune embarks on a mission to see what she could do to hinder Bombyx Mori’s cruelty.
