It’s been two years since the last release of the Bubsy the Bobcat’s game, Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back. Now, the game publisher Accolade has announced the upcoming platform game, Bubsy: Paws on Fire. The game is developed by Choice Provisions which previously worked on the Bit.Trip series and the space game Tharsis.
Bubsy: Paws on Fire is coming to the US and the Asia Pacific regions this June 27th for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. Meanwhile, if you are getting the Asia Pacific version, it includes Multi-language options available. The languages available are English and Chinese.
According to Choice Provisions, they described Bubsy: Paws on Fire as “an auto-runner at its core, but there’s a lot more to it than that.” Plus, along with the official announcement, the developer shared their thoughts on the opportunity to work on the Bubsy’s game series.

After some productive meetings and even more productive face scratches we agreed to work with Bubsy on creating an auto-runner worthy of his stature. And when that was done we scrapped it and made a good game instead.
For a brief background, Bubsy is an anthropomorphic bobcat in which the character took inspiration from the numerous famous game characters such as Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog. Meanwhile, the game series was released for Super NES, Mega Drive/Genesis, Game Boy, Jaguar, the PC, and PlayStation.
Join Bubsy the Bobcat on his greatest adventure yet. Get ready for this platform adventure game as it takes you to fly and to shoot your way through the air along with the four playable characters with distinguished features. Take the new journey with over 100 levels set in three different worlds. It will feature a new story featuring the alliances of Bubsy and his archrivals. Bubsy: Paws on Fire is surely for the Bubsy lovers, and even haters, out there.
