Clannad Western Digital Release Confirmed for a July 4th Launch

Key and Prototype‘s classic visual novel Clannad is now confirmed to head West on July 4th via the Nintendo eShop for USD $44.99.

Just like the Japanese version of the game, the western version will include its features including the most notable one which is the capacity to switch between Japanese and English text. In addition, to give you the most emotional Clannad experience, all music and selected vocal tracks of the game are available in Linear PCM 5.1ch Surround Sound-compatible AV amplifier system.

Game’s History

A Japanese visual novel studio in Japan known as Key is the developer of the Clannad. Originally, the game was released in 2004 for Windows PCs with a rating for all ages. Later on, it was ported to several gaming platforms such as PS2, PSP, Xbox 360, PS3, and PS VITA, but only available in the Japanese language.

In 2015, an American video game publisher named Sekai Project released an English version of the game on Steam. Before, those who want to have the translated version of the game need to purchase the PC Version.

But in June 2018, a PS4 version of the game with Japanese and English translation was released by Prototype. And now, the game is ready to spread its wings to the Nintendo Switch console globally.

Clannad is considered as one of the best visual novels ever made as its story touched so many people. Now, Clannad is more than ready to spread the incredible piece of storytelling it has to offer.
