Grid is the 10th installment in the TOCA series (a video game series that focuses on touring car racing and motorsport) and the 4th one of the Grid sub-series. It was originally announced to release on September 13 but later move to October 11 to build up more exposure for the game.
The publishers and developers behind Grid and the rest of the games in TOCA series are no other than Codemasters, the geniuses behind the successful DiRT and F1 series. One of the game’s key mechanics is the Nemesis System where AI drivers will become aggressive towards the player if they hit them too hard or too often, as part of this there are 400 unique AI drivers, each with their own racing style. Also, Fernando Alonso, a Spanish racing driver, and a former F1 racing driver will be acting as a “Racing consultant” on Grid and he would be featured in the game with the player facing them in the single-player campaign’s final event.

Capturing intense moment-to-moment racing action, GRID returns with an all-new experience where every race is the chance to choose your own path, create your own story and define your legacy in the motorsport world.
From the creators of the hugely successful DiRT and F1 series, Codemasters invites you to take your place in the GRID World Series and compete in intense wheel-to-wheel racing with the most iconic and desirable race cars – current and classic, from GT through Touring and Muscle to Stock and Super Modifieds – and in some of the world’s most iconic locations.
GRID captures every moment of the race, from the adrenaline rush of lights-out to the elation at the chequered flag – and in-between, it’s all action too. Incidents come one right after the other – tight overtakes, bumper-to-bumper scrapes and competitive collisions – all heightened by rivalries, team-mates and a nemesis driver who will all either try to help or hinder your progress as you achieve your goal of becoming the GRID World Series champion.
