Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios‘ upcoming western release of the JRPG, Fairy Tail, received a bunch of new updates from the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation. So, if you’re one of the hungry souls craving for more Fairy Tail information tidbits to munch, this news is for you.

According to the Japanese gaming magazine, the main story of the game will last for about 30-hours long. Take note, that 30 hours of gameplay is for the main story alone. Plus, the game also features side contents including character episodes and special costumes which means the gameplay will go over 30 hours. Well, get ready to kiss goodbye to plenty of hours of your life, folks.

Furthermore, for the first time in the series, Fairy Tail will feature game-unique stories that are never seen before in the original manga or anime such as requests related to characters. Choose among more than 10 playable characters and costumes.

As you progress in the game, your magic links will intensify, but, you can only achieve this once your guild rank increases. Plus, you can learn ultra magic-esque legend-class magic. Also, it is worth noting that you can strengthen and deepen the bonds with your faction by placing them in your party or by accomplishing requests together.

Now, talking about upgrading, you can improve your guild’s different facilities by fulfilling the requests of the townspeople. Better get those helpful folks working!

Furthermore, battles here in Fairy tail are command-based. So, while playing, you can plan your best techniques like, when is the right time to do it, whom you should target, what magic to use and who to use it on. The game also features Makarov Dreyar who is a supporting character that can assist you with the “Fairy Law”-esque ultra magic. Also, some characters support each facility, job, and the like within the guild.

Lastly, it has been revealed that one of Koei Tecmo and Gust’s future plan for this game is downloadable content. As of the moment, no information has been revealed if this is going to be some kind of like DLC characters, costumes, or the likes. Stay with us for more updates!
