Last February 19th, fans of the mech shooters of the 16-bit era were able to relive their good old days of video gaming with the release of the side-scrolling mech shooter, Gigantic Army digitally. Now, if you’ve been praying for a physical edition of this game, it’s finally happening!
European publisher PixelHeart is thrilled to announce that they got the console rights to release Gigantic Army to Nintendo’s flagship console in Europe. Developed by three-man Japanese indie studio, Astro Port, Gigantic Army features six challenging stages, 12 mid and end level bosses with four difficulty modes to choose from and customizable weapon load-outs, plus, an overall rebalanced gameplay for an addictive Gigantic Army experience!
Follow the role of a manned combat robot, GMR-34 Saladin, as you fire the Ramulon army to tiny pieces. Relive the mechanics of the 16-bit mech shooters such as melee attacks, thrusters, a shield and, of course, lots of guns!
As of the time of writing, no concrete release date for the game has been announced yet.
