The wait for the newest and biggest update by far for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is finally here! Villagers, get ready for more ACNH goodness with Leif, Redd, Reese and Cyrus and the rest of the limited-time addition in the game.
Make sure to connect your Nintendo Switch console to the internet to successfully download Version 1.2.0 of the game. Once downloaded, you should see the newest version number displayed on the right-topmost part of the screen once the game is loaded.
Also, Nintendo notes that all players must be using the same software version to play together. You can check out the patch note from the company below:
Ver. 1.2.0 (Released April 22, 2020)
The software has been updated if you see “Ver. 1.2.0” in the upper-right corner of the title screen.

- The following visiting merchants can now visit the island.
- Leif (gardening shop)
- Redd (Jolly Redd’s Treasure Trawler)
- Added seasonal events.
- Addressed issues to further ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.
