Japan is the land of anime, kawaii characters, limited edition snacks, and visual novels!
Series like Clannad, Stein;Gate or Tokimeki Memorial became actual pop-phenomenon who transcended the game industry to appear also in a vast number of side-projects such as novels, manga, movies, art books, and more. But these three are not alone, in fact, every year dozens of visual novels are released both for PC & consoles; but, in the last few years, a new series appeared carrying a huge amount of love and happiness to all the fans of this genre both in Japan and abroad… its name is Grisaia.

The first chapter of this long and successful series was Grisaia no Kajitsu; developed by the Japanese company Front Wing, it has been released in 2011 for PC, PSP, and two years later for PlayStation Vita.
Starring Yūji Kazami, a cold,  minimalistic, and philosophical boy who attends the second-year class at Mihama Academy. In this wonderfully written visual novel adventure; he finds himself embroiled in mysterious circumstances who reveal the school for what it really is… a sort of prison for young people! With the help of his schoolmates; Yūji must discover the secrets that allow the existence of this re-educational institute.

Thanks to the success of Grisaia no Kajitsu people asked for more. So, Front Wing started to churn out dozens of new episodes who expanded this universe of this psychodrama to initially unbelievable levels.
So far we can play with seven Grisaia installments; but without any doubt, the best one is the spin-off series known as Grisaia: Phantom Trigger. Divided into five episodes; the firsts two will be available from tomorrow also for Nintendo Switch!

In Grisaia: Phantom Trigger 01 we make the acquaintance of the new students of the Mihama Academy; the members of the SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development) agency who employ the greatest soldiers on Earth to accomplish suicide missions throughout the world. They are the gunslinger Rena “The Rabid Dog”, the demolition girl Chris, Tohka the sniper, the deadly spy Murasaki, and Haruto who is also the leader of this small but extremely effective army.

Grisaia: Phantom Trigger 02, instead, catapults us to the very first mission of SORD. They must find a disappeared VIP; exploiting their bonds and skills, you must help them to discover what happened, and eventually rescue this very important person before it’s too late…
Pushing these five girls to the limit; the 2nd episode is a mature & dramatic visual novel reveals also the contradictions of the human soul in a voyage into the past of these exceptionally gifted girls.
