In September 2019, Nihon Falcom released the ninth installment in the longest-running Ys RPG series, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox for the PlayStation 4 in Japan. Now, NIS America finally confirmed during the New Game+ Expo live stream that the game will be localized in the west for PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam.
The publisher revealed that players in North America and Europe can expect the game to arrive sometime in 2021. What’s even more interesting is that English and Japanese audio options will be incorporated in the game.
In this game, the well-known adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin embarks on a new thrilling journey in the Prison City of Balduq. Adol is transformed into a Monstrum and must stop the Grimwald Nox together with his fellow Monstrum. Explore, battle fearsome foes, and unravel the city’s mysteries in this thrilling action-RPG.
