It’s the time of the year again as The Game Awards is coming back! Host and producer Geoff Keighley reveals the official schedule of The Game Awards 2022. So, mark your calendars as this huge game award show is on December 8 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
Expect world premieres, new game announcements, and a performance from The Game Awards Orchestra conducted by Lorne Balfe.
This year introduces a new award category which is the Best Adaptation category. This category recognizes the game that is adapted to popular media such as films, books, podcasts, and more.

The Best Adaptation Award is a way for the gaming industry and its fans to tip its hat to creative work that authentically adapts and often adds lore and context to our favorite gaming franchises. With so many game-inspired projects across entertainment, the time is right to honor excellence in adapting video game worlds to other mediums.
