Team Ladybug together with Playism and WSS Playground have confirmed the physical release of their side-scrolling shooting game Drainus for the Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, the game was released for PC last year. 

Get ready for a new and unique side-scrolling shooting game set in a futuristic world where the Kharlal Empire rules the galaxy. The story follows Irina, a slave from planet Halpax who heads home to her planet after her father became seriously ill. On her way home, she happened to meet Ghenie, a time-traveling frog-form, and is informed that an intergalactic war is about to begin. Knowing these, she decided to hijack Drainus, a ship that can absorb and reflect enemy attacks, and sets out with Ghenie to overthrow the Kharlal Empire and find her father.

Out in the far reaches of space lies a planet suffering from the oppressive rule of an Empire. Deciding to fight back, a slave steals and takes control of the “Drainus”, a ship that embodies the Empire’s latest energy-absorbing technology.
