Exciting news for those who are waiting for the successor of the Nintendo Switch console as Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa reveals the successor to the Switch will be announced within this fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2025.
Nintendo will hold a Nintendo Direct presentation in June regarding the upcoming Nintendo Switch software line-up for the remaining half of 2024. However, no news about the Nintendo Switch successor during the presentation.

The Nintendo Switch console was first revealed in March 2015 and it was released in March 2017. As of March 2024, the console sold over 141 million units worldwide which makes Nintendo’s best-selling home console and the third best-selling-game-console of all time behind the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo DS.
