Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse

Koei Tecmo has released a new piece of information for the upcoming remake of the horror classic Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. This time the game shared the stages or the eerie locations that players will explore all throughout the game.
Haibara Infirmary
An old infirmary on Rogetsu Isle. It is now in ruins. It is said that various experiments were repeatedly conducted by Director Haibara for the purpose of curing “Moonlight Syndrome,” an endemic disease found in Rogetsu Isle.
Rogetsu Hall
A luxurious sanatorium built for the treatment of Moonlight Syndrome. It is connected to Haibara Infirmary and the islanders call Rogetsu Hall the “new building” and Haibara Infirmary the “old building.”
Yomotsuki Residence
This is the home of a venerable mask-maker who makes the masks used in the Rogetsu Kagura. It is the birthplace of the Ruka Minazuki, and visiting this house brings back important memories.
Cape Tsukiyomi Lighthouse
A huge lighthouse on Rogetsu Isle. It is the closest point to the moon in Rogetsu Isle. The top of the lighthouse has a special meaning for this Isle that worships the moon, and an ancient shrine has been relocated to the top of the lighthouse.
Temple of the Lunar Eclipse Rogetsu Antechaber
A room adjacent to the Rogetsu Kagura stage where preparations for the Kagura performance are made.

Koei Tecmo Games has confirmed the release of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse for modern consoles. In addition, this remastered version will feature an all-new Photo Mode, new and altered costumes, enhanced graphics, and more!
In case you missed it, the game was launched for Wii in 2008 and it is the fourth installment in the Fatal Frame series. And during its release on Wii, it is considered the best-selling title in the series during that time.
Get ready for another spine-chilling survival horror game that will take players to different environments including traditional Japanese house and Meiji-era sanatorium turned hotel.

Game Story
“If no one remembers it, does that mean it never happened?”
Rogetsu Kagura is a festival held once every ten years on Rogetsu Isle in southern Japan. During the festival, five girls mysteriously disappeared. The girls were rescued by a detective, but all of their memories were lost.
One of the girls that disappeared mysteriously, Ruka Mizunaki, had a faint memory of a single melody…
– Girls playing instruments surrounded by masked people, and a masked woman dancing in the moonlight as though possessed. –
The melody repeats and hastens … and then the memory ends abruptly. What happened that day…? Ruka has lived with that thought in her mind ever since. Ten years later, two of the girls that mysteriously disappeared were killed one after another. They were found with their faces covered, in a tragic demeanor. Determined to solve the mystery of their friends’ deaths, the remaining girls, Misaki and Madoka, agree to travel to Rogetsu Isle.

- Camera Obscura – An old camera with the ability to repel vengeful ghosts and seal away their power by photographing them.
